Meet Miss Alexa

This is my first year teaching kindergarten and I’m SO excited! I attended Huntington University and after graduating from there, I became Miss Alexa as I led the first Pre-K program, for kids waiting a year for kindergarten, at BCS for 5 years. I then was a children’s pastor for 6 years, leading all kinds of fun and meaningful discipleship activities for kids and families. I had no idea what was in store when I left that role and it was a such a blessing to return to BCS in the Spring of 2024 to do a long term sub leave in Pre-K again. I look forward to applying my skills from teaching Pre-K and being a children's pastor in my kindergarten classroom at BCS! 

I’ve been following Jesus since I was a little girl. I met the Lord through my family who valued church and teaching me the truths of the gospel. 

I’m the proud dog mom of Bella, my sweet Collie. She’s the very best girl and I often say it’s a little silly how much I love her, but man, I sure do! I enjoy going on walks and car rides with her and snuggling any chance I get. I love to read, drink Dr. Pepper, and have deep theological conversations. I'm happiest in warm weather with sunshine and green grass and water nearby. Being with my friends and family is my jam. I consider myself to be the fun seeker and honorary celebrator of everything I can find. :) 

I'm forever grateful for the BCS community and the sovereignty of God in bringing me here (again) to be His vessel!
