Christine Cross

In 2016 God called me to teach at Blackhawk Christian Schools.  I had been teaching in the public school setting since 2001 and never saw that changing or even desired a change.  But, God had other plans for which I am beyond grateful.

 

My husband David and I were blessed with three children.  Emily and her husband Aaron live in Bluffton, Ohio with their four children.  Matthew is married to Madeline and they live in Fort Wayne with their two children.  Sarah and her husband Kelsey live in Silverdale, Washington with their three children.  I thank God that He has allowed me to share His love with my "nifty-nine" grands. 

 

I gave my heart to Jesus as a young girl.  The faithfulness of God that I have experienced in the decades since then have inspired, humbled, and encouraged me.  Teaching is a huge part of who I am as a disciple of Christ.  Whether it is at my local church leading women to a deeper and more intentional walk with our Lord, or here at BCS leading children to grow academically and spiritually, teaching makes my heart sing!   Besides precious family time, music and sports are two things that bring me happiness.  I find great pleasure in playing the piano, cheering for the St. Louis Cardinals, Fighting Illini, and Notre Dame Irish, as well as rooting for BCS at a ballgame.   

 

My greatest desire is for God to always find me faithful as a witness for Him.  May His light shine brightly through the words He gives me to say, and through my actions each and every day.  To God be all Glory!
