Primary School's Chapel and Resource / Learning Lab Teacher
Hello!
I am Heather Dubach and I have the privilege of being the primary school's chapel coordinator and resource/learning lab teacher. I am married to Eric Dubach, the lead pastor at Brookside Church, and we have three amazing children, Olivia, Judah, and Evelyn.
Eric and I met at Indiana Wesleyan University. We married right after graduation and moved down south to Lexington, KY for Eric to attend Asbury Seminary. I taught 1st grade for three years at Lexington Christian Academy.
God provided a church position for Eric in Richmond, IN during the last year of seminary. While in Richmond, I taught 6th grade math in the public school for six years. We grew our family with two babies while in Richmond.
Once again, God was creating a job opening for Eric to move up here to Fort Wayne, and become the lead pastor at Brookside Church in April 2014. We have been apart of BCS since that time by sending our kiddos to the preschool, and now all three schools: preschool, primary, and intermediate.
With the move to Fort Wayne, God provided the opportunity to be a stay-at-home mom for the first time! I relished in this new position for three years while also adding baby number three to the mix. In 2018 I joined the BCS substitute teacher list and LOVED being apart of this community. It felt so good to get back into classrooms! The following school year I was hired to be the primary school's chapel coordinator and first grade teacher's assistant. In the 2020-2021 school year I was given the opportunity to add the title of resource and learning lab teacher to my chapel coordinator position.
God has been so good and so faithful to me and our family. I pray I can be a vessel used by Him each day to reflect how awesome He is. To God be the glory.
