Mrs. Teri Harmon

I am blessed to teach sixth grade math at Blackhawk Christian, where I strive to create a classroom environment that encourages curiosity, growth, and a love of learning. This is my ninth year of teaching and my second year at Blackhawk. Before joining this community, I spent seven years teaching at Whitley County Consolidated Schools.

 

During the seven years I took off to raise my boys, I also served part-time in Children's Ministry at Brookside Church. This experience deepened my passion for guiding young hearts and minds, which I carry into my classroom every day.

I am married to Matt, who teaches History at Blackhawk Christian High School. Together, we have two wonderful boys, Johnny (11, fifth grade) and Zeke (7, second grade). Our family enjoys spending quality time together, whether it's reading, baking, tackling projects around our home, or simply enjoying each other's company.

 

My faith plays a central role in my life and teaching. My favorite verse, 2 Chronicles 16:9, reminds me daily of the strength and guidance that comes from being reliant on the Lord: "For the eyes of the LORD range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to Him."
