Kelsey Guthrie
I was born and raised in Albion, Indiana where I attended Central Noble High School. I began dating Tanner as a freshman, and we dated through college before getting married in 2012. I earned a BS in Elementary Education from IPFW and spent my first 12 years teaching in the Northwest Allen County School district.
Tanner and I have been blessed with 3 children, Sophia (3rd grade), Nora (1st grade), and Henry (preschool). We attend Pathway Community Church, where our children are actively involved in Kidcity.
Our family is very active. I love watching our children in sports, being outdoors, attending family gatherings, walking our Bernedoodle (Kiva), eating ice cream, and traveling.
I feel incredibly blessed to be at Blackhawk where I can invest in the lives of my students and watch my own children progress in their education and their relationship with Jesus. Each day my goal is to adhere to the calling of Matthew 5:16 – “In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”
